Handmade Wooden  Gifts by Penny and/or Paul Loseby

The reason that this 22kt gold and Rhodium plated pen is called 'The Duke's Pen' is that it is made from a quilted pattern horse chestnut tree that grew in the grounds of the British Stately Home Boughton House near Kettering.  We provide the provenence to show that this tree was planted in 1710 by the 2nd Duke of Montagu who because of his love of trees, was known as 'John The Planter'.

The pen comes in a black, silk lined display case and with a wax sealed scroll showing that provenence.  The wood was bought from the estate sawmill and that estate keep exact records of all trees planted.

The price for this pen is £120 plus p&p.
